Of course, once you get the hang of Brusho I’m sure your imagination will be fired up to incorporate Brusho with other things like stencilling, doodling and using a wax resist, just to name a few. Dry Brusho powder can also be sprinkled on top of wet watercolour paint to create additional textures.

Once dry you can paint over and then when your painting is dry rub off the masking fluid leaving the white of the paper. Learn to use Brusho with Painting with Brusho by Joanna Boon Thomas, an easy-to-use guide on using the versatile ink powder. Highly recommended for a new and different approach to watercolours but be aware they are very addictive and a little bit goes a very long way! Brusho crystal colour is manufactured in Sheffield, UK, Brusho is made from highly pigmented watercolour crystals with a binder. The colours are a transparent, highly-pigmented watercolour ink that comes packed in small drums which contain the dry, crystalline powder. Please note, due to the nature of the pigment powder, colours may appear different in their raw state - for example Leaf Green will appear Yellow. The colours lend themselves ideally for the production of a variety of hues, tints and shades by mixing, dilution or concentration, or by the superimposition of washes. Sunburst Lemon, Lemon, Yellow, Gamboge, Yellow Ochre, Sandstone, Terracotta, Vermillion, Orange, Ost. There are lots of options available to you and once you know what there is to choose from I am sure you will find the whole process far less vexing than it might once have appeared.

However, as an added protection for Brusho or any other watercolour paintings from damage caused by dust, dirt, humidity, UV radiation, smoke, scuffs and scratches - we recommend using a high quality UV spray. We suggest anyone starting out with BRUSHO use it along side a few watercolour staples such as a good quality watercolour block so there's no need to stretch paper. The Colours in this set are water-based, acid-free, non-toxic and can be easily mixed to make any shade under the rainbow! You can alter and manipulate colours just by layering additional washes of colour over your original work, creating interesting effects. We also recommend some watercolour brushes to wet the paper and paint with BRUSHO and a misting bottle for creating dappling, running and bleeding effects.

Ingestion - In the event of accidental ingestion of the powder or the solution, wash mouth out with water, give water to drink. If you are using Brusho to stain cloth it is worth noting that the colours are not fixable on fabric.

Brusho are pots of water-colour crystals which are transparent, intermixable, incredibly vibrant and highly pigmented. However, if the pigments are lightly spritzed with water or the powder dropped onto a wet surface, the separate pigments which make up the colour appear.
