Description

Learners will need to be working or have a suitable work placement in an early years care and education setting. You will also study the legislation, frameworks, and professional practice involved in working in an early year’s setting. Most learners aged 19 and over, studying at Level 3 or Level 4, will qualify for these loans from the UK government.

This will enable staff with an EYE qualification and Level 2 English and mathematics qualifications to count in the Level 3 staff: child ratios in childcare settings. To register your interest and start the application process, please complete the online form below or contact our Training Centre. The course covers the health and wellbeing of children and their learning, play, and development to prepare them for school.During placement, learners will need support from a professional within the real work environment who will be required to complete professional development records. You will need to have a placement in an early years setting in mainland England with support from a workplace mentor. Learners must be in a position to become fully involved in all activities, particularly the observation of children.

If you need to study maths and English alongside this course, packages are available to study with OSC to allow you to study and achieve the required qualifications alongside this course. Once you have successfully completed your assignments and workplace observations, you will receive your NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator).Upon successful completion of this qualification, you can apply for roles as early year’s practitioner and educator roles in an early year’s settings in which you will be working with children aged from birth to five years of age.

From 3 April 2017, the requirement for Level 3 Early Years Educators (EYE) to hold GCSE English and maths A*-C, will be broadened to Level 2 qualifications, including Functional Skills.

Enrolment paperwork finalised – an Alliance Training Advisor will schedule a Microsoft Teams video meeting with you to review enrolment details and check your identification (please bring photo id to this meeting). On-line English and maths assessments – to check the qualification level is appropriate and to ascertain any additional support needed. This requirement has been moved to managers, who are "responsible for ensuring their staff have the right level of maths knowledge to deliver high-quality early years provision". Fully accredited and nationally recognised NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) qualification.

Learners must achieve 23 mandatory units, equating to 61 credits, which include observational studies and competence in a real work environment. If you don’t already hold these, then we would recommend completing them prior to or after achieving the EYE. Written by bestselling author and early years expert Penny Tassoni, this is the only textbook for work-based learners endorsed by CACHE.

Earn 32 UCAS points to support your higher education application if you wish to progress your studies beyond this course. This includes those who already hold an EYE qualification, began studying an EYE from September 2014, or will achieve an EYE in the future.
