Or for situations where subtlety is key and just looking like you have a crappy film camera is an advantage such as at birthday parties and near military installations. The X100V’s tilting screen makes it more versatile than any of its predecessors, its new lens and sensor combination produces excellent images, and it’s weather-proof if you’re either careful or use it with a filter.

I see the same old Fuji files flaws: sharp pictures, but somehow mute colours when the light is not good and odd skin tones. Silver-painted hot shoe cover may seem trivial, but adds a nice look and feel to this aluminum X100V. But I guess if someone isn't willing to wait a couple of months before their camera arrives and they're willing to pay the premium who are we to tell them what to do with their money? Really the only down side to the XT-2 that I can can see for my uses is that the battery life is total ass.Processing the files with capture one resulted in much better outcomes (for details in landscapes), but still had the flaws with the colours and the samples show that this issues did really improve.

I've recently moved to a stunningly beautiful part of the world, and spend a lot of my time walking my dogs in the forests around my new home.

I have bodies with IBS and without, I hardly ever use IBS unless I am shooting handheld at night which is very rare. Camera companies have been fasle advertising for ages, as we both know, with deceptive advertising of video capabilities that people don't learn about until an actual user gets one of the products in their hands. A fun, stylish and performant camera in as compact a package as possible for a 23mm f/2 in front of an APS-C sensor. Fill-flash performance is superior to any interchangeable-lens camera because it uses a special leaf shutter which synchronizes with flash at all speeds up to 1/4,000, allowing the built-in flash to have far more range than with the much slower sync speeds of focal plane shutters of interchangeable-lens cameras.

However having owned both xtrans and bayer sensored x100s it's hard to tell the difference in everyday use. I owned the other two f2 primes at the time and loved the 35mm as well as the 50mm but sold the 23mm as it did not grow on me. The Fuji X100 V is a handsome all-metal camera with real knobs and dials which makes it very easy to set and control from shot to shot. Nothing limits us in the end except our imagination, the lack of time to get out and sometimes, the company we might be with at the time who put a subtle pressure on us to keep moving. but many just snap and share it on instagram/whatsapp/whatever and only use a downsampled image viewed on a small screen. It's a stills camera with a few extra video features but they're clearly there just because it'd make no sense to just omit then since the hardware is there.

The EVF uses an extremely bright 1500cd/㎡ high-luminance panel, so images can be made easily even in bright conditions. Another disadvantage of the X100V, and it's one that I noticed personally, is that it's not entirely pocketable. This is very useful for street photography, allowing you to shoot from the hip or above your head to get angles that aren’t possible on previous X100 cameras or smartphones.

What made them particularly handy was the fact that you could use them while looking through the viewfinder. This is as I shoot JPGs straight out of the camera; if you shoot raw then you most likely can create any look you like in your software.
