Description

Using only Pinot Noir from grand cru villages and the more unusual soak-on-the-skins method, it has delicious raspberry and redcurrant flavours. Laurent-Perrier truly does master the maceration method of making rosé, achieving an amazing textural silkiness and structural tension without ever showing too much tannin or bitterness. Drinks will be chilled in 30-45 minutes and will be kept cold for several hours, especially if kept in the shade. Full of energy and ideas, Bernard was unafraid to challenge convention and had a modern vision of a champagne style that was lighter on the palate and could be enjoyed any time. The maceration lasting from 48 to 72 hours depending on the harvest helps the extraction of the colour and allows us to obtain unequalled aromas, revealing all the richness of the best Crus of Pinot Noir.

Bright salmon in colour, with orange tones, this wine is produced by the maceration method using Pinot Noirs from 10 Montagne de Reims villages, including Ambonnay, Bouzy, Louvois and Tours-sur-Marne. I can't say I am a frequent drinker of Champagne, and even less so when it comes to the Rose type but I will admit that this champagne is *delicious*.It's made from Pinot exclusively from 10 of the finest villages including Ambonnay, Bouzy, Louvois, Aÿ and the house's home patch of Tours-sur-Marne. Shows fine balance, with a vibrant tanginess to the flavors of black currant, strawberry, licorice and candied ginger. I would highly recommend this to be given for that special occasion or for personal use as it’s delicious. Revered by wine lovers for its flavour, and by aesthetes for the beauty of its 17th-century-style bottle dating back to Henry V; the cuvée Rosé Brut is one of the stars in the Laurent-Perrier range. Laurent-Perrier had a successful harvest in 2018, a year which Chef de Cave Michel Fauconnet believes will most certainly produce a stunning vintage champagne and hopefully a strong Alexandra Rosé as well.

By the time he retired from his role in 1983 Laurent-Perrier had introduced winemaking technology to enhance all the blends creating fruit forward styles in the lightly reductive style. The maceration – lasting from 48 to 72 hours – enables us to obtain the most subtile and rich expression of Pinot Noir. Internationally recognised as one of the foremost names in champagne, its success can be attributed to a deliberate policy of challenging conventional techniques, whilst honouring traditional values. The wine is slightly more structured on the palate: the impression of freshness remains while the red berry fruit flavours add depth and complexity. It may not be reproduced in any way whatsoever without Ocado Limited's prior consent, nor without due acknowledgement. In 1939 Eugenie Laurent sold the House to the de Nonancourt family and in 1948 Madame de Nonancourt passed control of the House to her son Bernard.
